Description:
THINKING OF SELLING OR TRADING YOUR CLASSIC OR MUSCLE CAR? PLEASE CONTACT BLAD BOYS MUSCLE CARS TODAY AND INQUIRE ABOUT OUR CONSIGNMENT PROGRAM. 1970 Boss 302 for You A 1970 Boss 302 Mustang is at the top of the list when it comes to Vintage American Muscle Cars. With its sleek lines and nasty attitude, the road and drag racing tracks across the country would never be the same. Ford was on the cutting edge of Cylinder Head design and incorporated a design for their 302 displacement engine from the Cleveland ranks. Bigger means better as they say. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Nick Winblad and have been a motorhead all of my life. My dad, brother and myself started Blad Boys Muscle Cars back in 2005. We also have another automotive oriented business called Ludlow Automotive and Performance which has been in business since my grandfather started it back in early sixties. My father Joe Winblad is ready for retirement and has given me task of selling some of the assets of the company which includes a 1970 Boss 302 currently going thru a concourse restoration. It current state is roughly 70% finished including most of the paint work. I am looking for a person that is interested in discussing the sale and finish of this Boss. This by no means is a fire sale or a desperate attempt to get out from underneath a large debt. I am looking for the right person to join the finish of this car for a reasonable price that can be negotiated where both parties are satisfied. Now, lets get on with the car. This is a rust free car purchased by us back in 2007. The car was purchased by a gentleman in Bluffdale, Texas. The gentleman was an avid Mustang enthusiast and had collected a group of very collectible Mustangs including Bosss, and Cobra Jets. While working for a Texas Ford dealership for 17 years, he also collected a very large cache of NOS Ford parts. We negotiated a deal with him and bought all of it. When taking possession of the car, we could tell what its intentions were from the start, Drag Racing. The battery had been installed in the trunk, the tunnel had some pretty extensive damage due to a large number of high rpm whole shots. It was pretty obvious what its use was. Body: The car was completely rust free with the exception of a small area of the passenger side floor which had a little swiss cheese. We had bought a panel to weld in but the repop piece wasnt up to our standards. We fabricated the patch to match the factory bead rolls and welded it in. We also replaced the rear tail panel with a NOS piece due to some damage that was done at some point of its life. The underneath of the car is completely finished. Its was stripped to steel taking notice to leave as much of the factory undercoating that we could. The underneath was finished with SEM Hot Rod Black and shows to a high quality. I am sure some of you would rather hear that we spray it with Red Oxide primer and overspray but we are under the opinion that why should we do a bad job because the factory did.
