I bought this a couple of years ago so I could patch my son's worn clothes so he could get a few more miles out of them. I had difficulty figuring out some of the fancy features, and then I had an opportunity to get an Elna machine for next to nothing. I have been using the Elna since, and this thing has been sitting on the shelf in the box ever since. It's a great little machine, and like new, but I had a problem with the thread tension, and gave up on it when the Elna showed up.
Somehow I've misplaced the owners manual and other paperwork, but I know they are available, and ebay is the first place I'd start looking, because I've bought manuals for all sorts of things there, including my Harley. You can also go directly to singerco.com and order new manuals from Singer. The original box is here, too, but the thing was tearing apart, so I reinforced it and it's good enough to carry it in.
Singer Model # 2732, has 32 built-in stitches, 60 stitch functions, top drop-in bobbin with see-thru cover, horizontal thread delivery, built-in needle threader (thread the needle in one easy step), universal pressure (sew through denim or delicate fabrics with equal ease), 3-needle positions (for top-stitching or quilting), built-in accessory storage, and so on. Has the removable foot base with storage compartment that once it is removed you can sew on sleeves, pant legs, etc.
It's a heck of a nice machine, but it's just taking up space here. I just need it to go to someone who knows more about sewing than I do. I'm home more than not, so email me and ask questions or arrange to come by and pick it up anytime, I just need to know when you'll be coming so I can be sure to be here.
If more photos of any specific areas are needed, just ask me and I'll be sure to email them to you. Price is $60, JUST DROPPED PRICE TO $40! and I need to add that I'm selling it in "as is" condition because I don't want to have to bother with anything once it leaves my house. If you were buying it for your sweety, I'd run it through a qualified repair shop anyway, just to freshen it up, unless she knows how to adjust the thread tension because that's the only thing I couldn't figure out. Heck, they might even have the manual at the shop you use.
I'm in south Titusville, near US1. Merry Christmas, folks. Lastly, I can get phone messages from the following numbers: , or 321- (my son and my sister-in-law). My name is Joris.
