Senior Software Developer Responsibilities: In this remote position, the Senior Software Developer will code, test, debug, configure, support and document our software products while performing the following duties: Apply our methodology and generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation Diagnose and resolve software defects and problems Maintain precise documentation and change comments in the source code Modify engineering specification documents to reflect changes Work with Customer Support Analysts to prevent and troubleshoot client issues relating to the software utility Engage Quality Assurance team members throughout development lifecycle to ensure proper testing is completed Work with Product Development management and other developers to successfully anticipate, identify and resolve issues/concerns both internally and externally Assist with pre-sales activities, product demos and proposal development Develop and present solutions to appropriate parties Professionally and proactively handle problems and/or conflicts to resolution Clearly and actively communicate status of work and projects to key stakeholders Meet time and quality requirements for all assignments with minimal reminders Prioritize work effectively and actively work to find more efficient ways to accomplish assignments and tasks Work effectively and professionally with client and company staff, maintaining positive working relationships and effective teamwork Develop and execute a challenging and interesting self-education and professional development plan Take initiative within job scope and seek and/or willingly accept additional responsibilities and assignments Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining applications Experience using C++ and C# programming languages Experience working with Microsoft technologies including .NET, Exchange, IIS, ASP, Visual Studio, SharePoint and Active Directory Experience with web services Experience with XML and SQL Server Experience participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation including the creation of appropriate documentation Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Knowledge and experience with additional other messaging and mail environments preferred Working knowledge of Lotus Notes a plus Familiarity with general software installation requirements and tasks preferred Benefits: We value our employees time and efforts.
